CHARACTER BASICS
Name: Emet-Selch (AKA Solus zos Galvus, Hades)
Canon: Final Fantasy XIV

Canon Details: Final Fantasy XIV is a fantasy MMORPG taking place in the land of Eorzea. It follows the adventures of an aspiring adventurer (the player character) who rises to become the Warrior of Light, battling the god-like Primals, fighting back the armies of the wicked Garlean Empire, and helping the common fold with various mundane tasks to become the hero to all the land.

Notable Traits: Very lanky build, very bad posture, and has a third eye, which looks like a pearl, in the middle of his forehead
Inventory: A musket with no bullets

Emet-Selch is an Ascian, a being who gave up his original body to live on as a near-immortal parasitic soul. Were one to ask the Warrior of Light (the player character) and their cohort, he is a villain. By his own reckoning, however, he is a hero, trying to reunite the fragments of a broken world and resurrect his god who would, in turn, bring back his long-lost people. So what if that happens to involve an apocalypse here and there and a whole lot of genocide!
Personality-wise, Emet-Selch is snarky, sure of his superiority, and has a flair for theatrics. He is also, inside, a very tired, sad old man who wants to back to a home that no longer exists.

*Levitation
*Is a near-immortal soul who can hop into and take over bodies (I will only do this if I have arranged it with a player beforehand!)
*Can see souls, living or otherwise and distinguish them by color (let me know if you want this ability to not work on your character for mysterious reasons!)
*In canon he can create anything he can visualize in his mind with a snap of his fingers. This power is being disabled in-game and he is not at all happy about it!

Sensing: He has a very dense soul and a whole lot of power (aether/mana/chi/whatever else you want to call it).
Magic users may be able to sense that he is very much aligned with dark-type magic
Those who are particularly sensitive to such things might notice that his soul doesn't really go with the body he's wearing.
The empathically-inclined can notice that he is very tired and in a constant state of grief.
